In-person assistance: Students can drop in or make an appointment with a librarian or they can call the main library numbers to be transferred to a librarian for help over the phone.
Live Chat assistance: Librarians currently offer live-chat assistance through Springshare LibAnswers Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Fridays, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Email assistance: Students can send an email to the library email address (library@cochise.edu) with their research questions. All librarians monitor the library inbox and provide detailed help on search strategies, keywords, and specific databases pertinent to their research needs. We make every effort to answer emails within 1 operating day.
Springshare offers a Live Chat 24/7 product that is run as a co-op. When Cochise College librarians are not available, librarians from other academic institutions are available to help students with research. Co-op members can help with the research process, conduct Summon searches, help students pick the best keywords, and recommend filters to get better results.
