There are a variety of tools available to help a writer/researcher with their citations. These tools are citation style agnostic. I.e., they can be used for APA or MLA formats! Several of these are available online and some provide integrated capabilities with Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
It is recommended that no matter what citation software or tool is used, that the wise writer/researcher double-checks all citation formatting, manually, for accuracy.
Three commonly encountered citation management tools are briefly described below. Along with the description, we've included short videos for each, and then follows some links for additional information.

EasyBib is a free browser-based tool for creating citations and entire bibliographies. EasyBib is typically integrated within most academic databases and academic websites/sources. (You should be able to find access to EasyBib via the "Cite" option on any academic source or site. Users can input references in order to create automated citations and make a bibliography. Users also have options to manually supply reference information or search EasyBib for their reference to create an automated citation.

Similar to other tools, RefWorks is a free browser-based tool for creating citations and entire bibliographies. RefWorks is also typically integrated within most academic databases and academic websites/sources. (You should be able to find access to RefWorks via the "Cite" option on any academic source or site. Users can input references in order to create automated citations and make a bibliography. Users also have options to manually supply reference information or search RefWorks for their reference to create an automated citation.
As a Cochise College student (or faculty), you have access to RefWorks via your Cochise College email address. If you do not have an account, go through the account creation process on the RefWorks site. This account will stay active even if you leave (graduate or stop attending) Cochise College.
