About the Library

This guide contains library use information, our code of conduct, and Cochise College policies directly related to the library,.

Visiting the Library

Computer and Facility Use:

On-site computers must be checked out at the front desk. The library computer lab is reserved for currently enrolled Cochise College students. All other patrons may use the public computers.

Students who are conducting research or doing homework have priority. Please observe a 2-hour usage limit for computers if someone is waiting for one.

Non-Cochise College students under the age of 18 must have a signed parental permission form on file with the Library.  Parents need to sign the form in person.  Please be aware of Cochise College policy 1019: Children on Campus.  Cochise College Policies can be viewed online.

Library study rooms are available on a first come-first served basis. A librarian may grant a room reservation request in special circumstances. Currently enrolled Cochise College students have priority access.

Copiers:

A copier is available in each library.  Faculty & staff should use their personal or department copy code. For personal copying, anyone may make copies and pay for those in cash at the circulation desk. Copies are 10¢ each for black & white and 25¢ each for color.

Food & Drink in the Library:

Food and drink are allowed in the library, but  only covered drinks are allowed at the public computers. Please help keep the library clean and pest-free by cleaning up crumbs and throwing away containers in the trash cans located throughout the library.  If food or drinks are spilled, please notify a library staff member right away so we can help clean up thoroughly.

Service Animal Policy:

Service animals are allowed in the library in compliance with the ADA requirements for service animals.  If you have a service animal, please consider speaking to the Cochise College Accessibility Services office if you have any questions about bringing your service animal to campus.

No other animals are allowed in the library. Emotional support animals and therapy animals do not meet the ADA's definition of Service Animals.
